A hint of style for the Xacus SS 2018 men's shirt

The Xacus man for the summer season is one who knows how feel at ease in different situations, who enjoys his identity no matter the context because he is independent and free. If he were, however, to select where to be, his natural choice would be the seashore. This is the mood of Xacus Riviera, the new SS capsule that pays homage to Italy's coastlines. Key player is the men’s shirt in its varying incarnations: sophisticated and often innovative fabrics that express a new concept of contemporary classic.

It starts with the “oversize” stripes on an exceptional Thomas Mason poplin, combined with fully coloured wide patterns in the Classic Wash men's shirt with Australian mother of pearl buttons. The construction is completed by a quarter of armhole stitched down internally so it leaves the stitching yoke free, and collars and cuffs that are loose but substantial in weight. Appealing stylistic ideas come from the poplin that offers sophisticated light and shade thanks to the mouliné stripes, while more ethnic-chic inspiration comes from the black and white men’s shirt, with an intriguing batik effect. Stretch and comfort fit are achieved in the melange yarns thanks to the innovative insertion of “tencel” fibres derived from cellulose that provide breathability and variability.

Bold colours for a men’s shirt with an attitude

In the SS 2018 collection, Xacus focuses on shades of blue, with batik effects and irregular colouring and on indigo which, thanks to new weaves re-discovers a freshness and lightweight. The red colour expresses all its strength in a host of interpretations: on bouclé check linen or on embroideries positioned on dark indigo cotton fabrics, right up to printed Liberty of London poplin and mixed linen table cover check. The naturalness of brown triumphs in fabrics like linen with bouclé stripes and check designs or dual colour effects. Key words? Textured naturalness. For more glamorous occasions, Xacus offers a slim fit and small collars...strictly in grey tones.

Japanese inspirations and new fabrics enrich the Xacus collection

Xacus focuses its attention on the Far East with its Rustic proposal, in collaboration with Albiate. Washed, distressed garments with a more “raw” touch offering a dynamic look with a delicate chromatic rhythm thanks to the knop or printed yarns and fil coupé. A new yarn, on the other hand, has been created thanks to a synergy with the historical weaving factory Monti - founded in 1911. Breeze. A promise in the name: a light, breathable, quality fabric which, together with Australian mother of pearl buttons and quarter of armhole hand-stitched is already a contemporary classic. Lastly, freshness, naturalness and comfort characterise the men's shirt in Jersey and the Travel Shirt produced by Xacus, famous for being crease-free even after a number of hours, without sacrificing fit, style and the naturalness of the fibres.
