Mystery/Mastery at Xacus headquarters in the heart of Brera now revealed to the public
Just a few days from the latest Milan International Furniture Show, which is back to occupy the whole of April, Xacus has unveiled the second chapter in “The Art of Becoming”, in its Brera concept store. This project, connecting the most innovative personalities on the contemporary arts panorama with the Vicenza-based brand, looks at the theme of craftsmanship and at the importance of the gestures that help to create a work of art, or a garment, defined by details and workmanship of supreme excellence.

Mystery/Mastery
Matteo Cibic’s piece created for Xacus
The protagonist of the evening in Milan’s historic design neighbourhood, attended by industry stakeholders, was internationally famous guest designer, Matteo Cibic, who has already shown at the Pompidou and is known worldwide for his animated, anthropomorphic items, brought to life with his stylistic hallmark, which aims to create a link with human beings. Mystery/Mastery, the sculpture created for Xacus by Cibic and now on display in the window of the via Solferino store, offers an interpretation - in pure Cibic style - of the precious steps in know how, linked to the company’s sartorial tradition. It shines a light on the impeccable cuts that become elements in themselves, and which are essential when it comes to creating the perfect shirt. Sleeves, cuffs, collars and yokes take shape on a large sculpted shirt, shown in a surrealistic key, created by hand and completely covered in gold because there is nothing more precious than knowledge passed down through the generations.

The limited edition shirt worn by the artist during the event
As is traditional for every design project that comes into being out of “The Art of Becoming”, a limited edition Xacus shirt has been customised by the artist using graphic elements that refer to the theme of his work. The special edition, worn by Matteo Cibic during the evening of 22 March is already on sale as a limited edition for all those who like to wear a well-made shirt with an impeccable fit, but with the added twist of an item that is full of significance and artistic value.
The shop window comes to life, entertaining visitors with specially made videos featuring a surrealist narrative, where the artist enters into a fluctuating dialogue with his ideas and inspirations, to reflect those moments that are part of the creative process in an ironic, colourful key, within an imaginative universe, reminiscent of the works of Magritte.
