Mysterious facial expressions, hand gestures, corners of skin caressed by the fabrics. The body language is in perfect harmony with the shirt, bringing to the fore all its purity and showing the most beautiful details – the ones which are often invisible to the eye. For the ad campaign presenting the new fall-winter shirt collection, Xacus once again relies on the great artistic sensitivity of famous photographer Koto Bolofo to express, in the contemporary language of digital communication, the masculine and feminine world of this season’s shirts.
The artist’s fresh, authentic pictures capture with close attention the tailoring craftsmanship of the garments and the company’s selection of fabrics and patterns for the entire “Heritage”capsule collection. For the men’s shirts, the zoom lens focuses on the details and separate elements: from the cut yoke with the hem gusset inserted in the side to the button-down collars, semi-spread collar and Mandarin collar, including shots of buttons, stitching and pockets. It’s an interpretation that also highlights the variety of fabrics and the colour palette devised for the men’s collection: velvets, Oxfords and flannels in various weights, denim and garment-dyed gabardine are lit up by warm autumn shades ranging from brown to beige, mustard to grey and introducing light touches of blue and red.
The same visual concept is applied in this collection to the feminine world. In this case, Xacus shirts for women tend to play around more with shapes and volumes to create dynamism within a universe made up of new fabrics and colours: classic shirts with masculine cut, kimono jackets, dresses and overshirts of various lengths take on an elegant allure thanks to the appeal of printed velvet and silk, or a more sporty flavour with jersey. A book of shoots with great visual impact, also created by the melting pot of warm and cold colours that allow women to express their own personality at all times.
