Thomas Mason

In 1796, Sir Thomas Mason, one of the leading figures in the English textile industry, began producing fabrics in Lancashire, seizing the opportunities of a sector underdeveloped at that time. From the very beginning, the company specialized in the production of cotton shirting fabrics woven exclusively with long staple two-fold cotton.

In a short time, Thomas Mason became a benchmark of elegance, establishing itself in London, the world capital of shirting, as a supplier to the shirtmakers of Jermyn Street, close to the British Royal Household. In 1992, the Albini family seized the opportunity to acquire the English brands Thomas Mason and David & John Anderson, along with their centuries-old history, encapsulated in an archive of over seven hundred volumes containing fabric designs of incomparable value.
Thomas Mason fabrics have always interpreted English elegance with a touch of eccentricity, preserving over the years the technical and stylistic characteristics that have made this historic brand renowned worldwide. The finest cottons in the world, the finesse of the yarns derived from them, special finishing treatments, rigorous controls at every stage of production, and continuous stylistic research ensure the pleasure of wearing such a high-quality fabric.
