MANDARIN COLLAR

The Mandarin collar is a fine strip of fabric, known as a band, without wings. Thanks to its minimal aesthetic, it can easily be worn on informal and formal occasions, where refined elegance meets casual style. This model has a rich and interesting history, beginning with the Ming Dynasty in Manchuria, from where it spread to the rest of China. Later, the Mandarin collar was made popular by Jawaharlal Nehru, Prime Minister of India in the early 1900s, who wore it with jackets that followed the same style as the collar.
